This new craze has gone beyond its use for doodling or a form of activity for relaxation, or an activity for the elderly. Hobbyists are finding this to be a fun activity and are using their finished art pieces in craft projects.
My daughter is developmentally delayed and autistic, which is very sad, yet at the same time there are many joys. She loves coloring, even as a teenager she has a very large box of coloring books of many types. She loves crayons, especially the new scented crayons; these are crayons that leave behind a scent after you color with them. They have some really good scents such as roses and linen, but most of them smell, well yucky, to me. They have scents such as dirty sneakers, wet dog, and other unusual scents.
The last benefit I would like to discuss, actually consists of two advantages. Coloring allows your childs creativity to blossom, but it also provides insight into a childs emotions, and often child psychologists will utilize this tool to learn more about a childs feelings or frame of mind at a particular time. This is another great benefit of coloring for children, it can help you to understand how exactly your child feels at any given time.
